Who I am…

Movement is the reason that I am who I am today.

My first dance class was at the age of 3 years old and I continue the study of movement today. I am a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) with over 17 years of dance and theater training. I offer private yoga, as well as a monthly workshop called Artful Bodies, which focuses on authentic self-discovery through yoga, movement, and creative expression. Additionally, I will complete my MA in Counseling Psychology in May 2025. I am currently working toward my full Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential.

Finding an Authentic Soma

After nearly two decades of dance and theater training, I found myself unable to authentically move and was completely disconnected from my body. At 17, I discovered yoga, which has become a central component of caring for and taking ownership over my own body. I had forgotten what it felt like to truly inhabit my own skin for much of my life and was unable to listen to the cues it was providing me. Yoga beautifully allows for the body to begin to listen to these cues. Moving authentically in tandem with what the body needs is one of the offerings of yoga. It allows us to feel, communicate with the self and other, and express in unique, intimate, and intentional ways.

What I offer…

I provide students with tools of postural (asana) and breath (pranayama) yoga practices, with the goal that they feel empowered to make the choices their body needs in real-time. Tuning into the body’s subtle, moment-to-moment signals is a skill that requires practice and patience. By fostering spaces centered on exploration rather than perfection, students can tune into these subtle messages and cultivate a deeper connection to their own inner wisdom.
